    hey guys

im new to scooter shack, and people on here seem to know what there talking about, i bought a 03 gilera ice about 3 months ago, heard some rattleing a while ago, took the variator apart... rollers were shagged. so i fitted 7.5g's. bike was running sweet. this afternoon i bought a laser xpro exhaust and went for a ride, theres a flat spot between 10-35 mph. i still have the standard 56-jet in there, and someone told me to upjet by about 10% and put in new clutch springs? will this help.

sorry to drag on, im just confused. thanks :good:

You will need to upjet and I hope by new you mean slightly stronger aftermarket clutch springs.

You will probably need to fit lighter rollers too as 7.5g sounds very heavy for a sports exhaust.

thanks guys, and t3rr0, i have spoke to someone with a bit more moped knloedge then me, and his son has a zip, recentley de-restricted, up jetted, put a zx pipe on it and changed clutch springs and rollers. he also has 7.5 rollers in, but the zip is a much lighter bike than my ice.. so what weight do you think i should have? do you think i should put in like 6g's and do a trial and error tryout?

    thanks

little update.. got a 68 jet in there, and i found the carb restrictior today, took that off so alot more air flow. much quicker off the line. rung up the local scooter shop and told them what echaust i had, they said that it was the shittest one they have ever dealt with, to scrap it and go to their shop and buy one off them! bastards lol. still only getting 40 on a flat! pissing me off..
