ok i got my polini speed control kit fitted all 2day and as i got home my 70cc kit was waiting imp: i also got leo tt exaust on there but for the kit and the rest of the stuff i will need to up-jet right? I dont have a clue what the jet size is i would of thought its still standard/the same. how much % u think i should go up to?? thanks.
i have got the 70 but its not fitted yet and i will be getting stage6 dual or some type of malossi filter either way it will be open..
well i had as malossi sport kit and a leo tt on my ice had it professionally fit and set up and was running a 67 main jet and 5g rollers. so that will be a very good starting point. they remember to go up 10%ish for open filter and maybe drop rollers a tad with open filter.
kk thanks. i will have mine professionally set-up as im not handy with bike mechanics i have 3.6g rollera atm do u think i should go abit heavier as the 70cc kit will provide alot more acceleration?
you are ment to lighten with a 70. but they well to light now. should be around the 6ish mark at the moment. but why you asking if you are getting it set-up by a pro ?
because i will be ringinn him on monday seeing as its sunday 2mo so im just getting a rough idea of things as it is intresting to learn about whats going on inside my engine i will order some new rollers and also will they re-jet it for me or will i have to buy the jets and get them to install? the jetting thing isn't my cup of tea
depending on where you take it. they should fit it set it up and maybe a dyno run depending on where you go. my was 6.7bhp with the malossi sport and leo tt.
they are a proper tuning shop they fitted my speed control kit. 6.7bhp nice how fast did that get to?
hence why i put about. seen 60 down an hill but on flat was out 50+ish. not going to get much more than 55 on standard gears. if you after top end invest in a gear up.
tt and 70 kit with an open filter wont run above half throttle with 6g rollers.. around 4.9g/5.3g with a 75ish jet should have you all good.. play with rollers to remove any flatspots at certian speeds.
ok cool i will sort this all out then when its going well i will look into a gear-up kit, any views on this as i know nothing about these also :emb:
