gilera ice 172 build no spark with pics

am basically coming to a end with this build now that ive got the motor all mounted up and my transmission side of things arrived i decided i will give it a couple kicks to make sure theres spark with the plug out but no spark.

so what could it be i noticed that when i kick it over the stator only spins about 180* is my stator not spinning fast enough to generate a spark

also whats leading me to think i brought a dodgey stator is that when i kick the bike over am sure the lights should atleast flicker. am running a gilera runner sp loom and stator brought it all of the same guy. all the headlights work with battery plugged in but still no spark.



if you notice a bit of my cdi is broken put nothing plugs in to that point so that couldn't be the problem could it.





wirings not tidy at the moment just trying to sort this spark issue at the moment.
going to get a new plug to see if its that but i doubt it waiting for a multi meter to come also.
no electric start either. i build thus motor from scratch got it as split casing if anyone would like to know,

 

Have you got the engine properly earthed to the frame ?
