Right, thought id make a topic and show the progress of the conversion. (sorry about quality of pictures.) Im fitting an aprilia SR125 engine into the frame.

Now for the SR 125 Engine lump i got on ebay for £100. needed to be cleaned stripped and flushed out.

    Flush

After a bit of a clean up

lump is now ready to go into the frame :D

I had to shave the shock mount bush. they some out too far for the ice shock absorber.

Time to start stripping and fitting!

the two engines, the difference in weight is amazing.

Time to get the lump into the frame. the engine slotted into the frame with ease.

    Carb Attached

The wheel isnt attached, is balanced because it dont fit :D

    SR throttle cable splitter fitted.

Have got a problem with the throttle cabe, i cant get the carb slide to fully close! so am not sure what to do i might have to modify the twist grip.

    Loom

Now i have most of the SR loom converted for the ice. i have done the clock, and the switch gears. all i have to do now is change come of the conectors for the lights. the wires i have not done by the clocks are just for the speedo.

    --------------------
    Trans Case

While i am waiting for my parts to come, i have started on my trans case. im trying to polish it up. i want the face of it to be pulised and the sides to be black or something (will try polish it all first). Yes this picture is taken with a different camera. i dug out my digi cam, but its still not any better then my phone!.

    --------------------
    Parts Arrived!!

Got my Coil and Regulator off ebay, and CDI from wobbly!

    --------------------
    Loom Testing!!

Right, now its time to hook up the parts and test the converted loom out. once i have it all working i will insulate it properly and drop it into the frame. then try the engine.

    She has life!!!!

It just gets better and better!! about time i had some damn luck with this :D
    [IMG]

    ---------------------
Stripping out the bike ready to drop the loom in

    ---------------------
    Putting the loom in

Before any of you ask why the loom looks like frankinstein, its because i havnt insulated it yet incase i have to extend any wires because they might not reach sertain parts of the bike.

the slide is up alot more then it looks in the pic, the idle valve does nothing (doesnt raise it)

and as for the ice engine, it will stay in my shed along with the original ice harness because il need it if i ever come to sell the bike. selling it with the 125 in it will de-value it alot.
