Don’t know if this is the right place to post this thread but here goes So I’ve recently got a good deal on a 50CC Gilera DNA GP from a friend. It currently has an undeclared 70 big bore kit on it and has a few derestrictions done to it. I’m 15 now so when I’m 16 I’ll be riding it however if I leave it as it is I could face some issues if I get stopped, which leaves me wondering if I should buy a new 50cc kit and attempt to re restrict it to the limit that is required? Or leave it as is and risk what consequences?
Check to see if the barrel has been stamped 70cc or not. Sometimes it is a 70 but the barrel still says 50cc, anyway, de-restricted should see around 50mph on the 50 barrel provided other mods have been done as well
I can’t see any stamp on it... in your opinion would it be better to fit a 50 barrel considering I’m used to a 250 2t but not on roads with other cars- and a 70 would make all my papers invalid?
