    Hi everyone,

sorry if this question has been asked before.

Been trying to change a exhaust on a gilera dna 125 4t, i dont seem to be able to get to the nuts on the studs of the exhaust manifold, the sub frame is getting in the way even with a 2.5" spanner literally no room for it or for a small ratchet.

The nuts need grinding off as they are rounded but cant get to it with a dremmel either.

So what is the best way to be able to get to them i have run out of ideas, any help appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Furby.

2 words hypermobile joints... that people is why i hate piaggio, rusty, stuck odd sized exhaust nuts. they are M7 by the way, so make sure you have an M7 tap before you drill them out.
you might eb able to use a selection of wobbly socket extensions to get to it, also try laying the bike on the side...
oh and you cant use M8 nuts/bolts as they wont fit next to the exhaust flange welds....

Drop the engine out then grind a flat on the nuts to break there hold.
