if you have any other pipes coming off your exhaust that go no where, these are your resonator pipes (dont mistake these for your air pipe), these need to cut these off and get them welded over. not sure but you may have a ring in ur variator also to remove, it will smply be a spacer if you do also ensure you get it jetted, or ur bike could be fucked pronto engine in new stalker is same as in the new runners or nrg's btw
air pipes? for the cat? and you want to remove the rezonator tube but leave the cat on? go away remove EVERYTHING from the pipe and weld over or change pipes.. then whip the variator out, there will be a plastic washer sitting between the 2 pulley's, remove this and reassemble wiht corrected rollers and a bigger jet and it's done.. fact is if you have to ask you shouldent be doing it as it's more than just unbolting somthing.
or just leave them? a "de restriction" on the pipe with anything but a perfect job is pointless as the effect they give is not removed untill the pipe is asif it had never been there... not just cut off and welded up/crimped.. you might aswell just not bother. remove the variator restrictor, set the rollers and main jet, change the exhaust if you want to completly remove the restriction. waste of time otherwise. (this means dont cut your pipe up/bang it in a vice.. its fucking pointless) you CAN buy a derestricted exhaust manifold for some of them... fact is the stock pipe isnt shit, its wicked for petrol and your engine will last millions of miles.. if your not happy being your avarage scooter owner (some old dude going to work) then buy some bits an make it faster. its a verry simple concept most try and avoid (you know, spending money on somthing you want) anywho, im sure you know prittymuch how to derestrict the bike, so go buy yourself a variator locker, some new variator nuts, a couple jets (not sure on yours... could always look whats in there) and remove a single part. it will go a little faster top speed and then thats ALL the free power your getting out of the thing. gotta buy some bits if its not fast enough
