Which is better as i can't find a tuning guide with both of them in

Some guy is telling me go gianelli but its loud as fuck! 112db and my ZX is only 109db and its loud enough lol.

But if its better i guess i'd have to go with it

The extra is a crap exhaust. All you have to do is look at the shape to work that out.

There are only two good Giannelli exhausts which are the Reverse and the Shot.

p.s.n scooters are telling anyone who rings up enquireing about exhausts that the Extra is the best sports pipe!!

My guess is that hes got a lot of extras to shift ;)

That's been my guess for a while now. Even confronted Andy about it.

The power diagramm shows the power of a Laser XPro pipe on a Speedfight LC with standard cylinder in comparison with the standard exhaust and a LeoVince ZX.

The restricted Laser comes with a homologation, so power is only increased marginally while topspeed even went down. As far as performance is concerned the restricted pipe even accelerates worse that the standard one.

Derestricted it’s a completely different cup of tea though, remove the conical reduction in the downpipe and power goes up some 100% and topspeed is increased by 20%. Acceleration from a standstill is not to bad either, from 15 km/h then any standard scooter is left far behind.

Rpm of maximum power is 250 or so down on the ZX pipe. The exhaust is very torquey, so setting the engine up is an easy thing to do. For our dyno tests we got best results with weights of 10g. On the road, depending on the weight of the rider, half a gram less may not be wrong.

Off the line and with acceleration up to 80km/h the Laser is much better than the ZX. Up to 55 km/h in particular the Laser is up to 18% up on the ZX in terms of power.

Finish is excellent, the downpipe does not touch the radiator hose, mounting is easy and the muffler is a solid construction. Sound is very nice too, sounds like a proper two-stroke without being to noisy.

Yet another motivation for buying the pipe is the fact that it’s also available in a chromed version, which not only looks nice but also is a better corrosion prevention that a layer of paint.

A lad on another forum asked which is the best sports pipe for a runner 50..

I of course told him the Reverse was an excellent pipe, and young lad rings P.S.N to order one...

Next day young lad comes on forum and announces P.S.N told him not to bother with a Reverse because the Runner 50 goes better with an Extra :wtf:

i had this argument on the drag forum so pop over if you wanna see the outcome. basicly andy knows nothing about tuning. he wouldent be answering the phone if he did. good manager tho. ehter way the pipes a peice of shit and shoulent be made letalone recomended.

dyno figures wil always be different to real road conditions ether way as far as accell and top speed go but max power is about right. the figure isnt the point, the actual difference in reported power is.

Guys how would a Leo Vince TT run on a standard 50 cylinder? Would there be much difference in performance with a TT on a standard cylinder compared to a Laser XPro & Gianelli Reverse?

The x pro is one of the quietest performance pipes ive owned...They sound tinny...but in a good way if that makes sense...kinda like a very well silenced
moto x bike...They get less tinny as the baffle packing oils up after a week or 2!!

I like quiet pipes...You can ride faster without attracting so much attention to your self... ;)
