Getting a 70 kit, and the police?

Hello people i have an aerox 50 57 rossi rep, and i was thinking of getting a 70 kit from the start but my dads being arsy by saying they stop you and check your bike, or take it back to the garage to check it out to check whether its a 50 or what, but everyone on the forum have 70/172/180 kits on there bikes and none of you seem to have hassle or what not, and th eother thing is getting caught or having a crash and the police wanting to take your bike in for testing, is it okay to get a kit or not, and how many people are banned from having a kit onnit or what.

 

lol they stop evry ped take them to a garrage and take the engine apart to define how many cc's it is =/ ok lol no they dont but thers difrent circumstances u can have ive seen traffic officer on his bike take 3 70 peds 4 a test ride and they wer impounded 4 being derestricted but they cuda been stock de restricted and wuda been same outcome
crash wise ur insurance is void the second ur ped becomes derestricted i believe so adding 70 kit etc etc wont make it any more void
kit it up and just be careful never get cocky wen u get pulled and u shud b fine anything other then traffic are clueless
and try not 2 crash could turn out costly if its ur fault

well i know i wernt ther and have to take your word for it but not being funny i would tell em they aint going on it what right have they to go on it "just to try"?

if they weere gunna sieze it they would have done anyway no tjust because he had ago on it and said ye thats too fast? obviously not gunna be down to that officer discression is it??

 

i dno we wer in a group well i was with my mate on stock 125s and they wer followin us 2 a ped scrap yard and we all got pulled over they spoke 2 me bout my plate being rong and sed no more and they looked at the 50s all had sports pipes but 1 wich was a stock lookin sr jus derestricted aand guy on a typh was getin dun 4 no l plates and along came a traffic officer on a bike and i wernt talkin 2 him personally but think he sed sumin like those exhausts are illegal and got them 2 start ther bikes and went 4 a literally a 10 second ride infront of twikenham rugby ground and came back and sed ther being seized end of the day if he sed it 2 me id let him do as he pleases as id prefer 2 cooperate and just get my bike seized then say no u cant and him start 2 tear it apartbit by bit n do me 4 evrythin while still seizing it dno bout gloustershire but in london they cunts n i jus wudnt wna take the risk

and as for police here they dont know nothing about mopeds, as far as im aware :yahoo: :blush:

 

quite simple....if u see a police car in the distance or behind you, just stick to 30mph.

 

lol i got stopped by a biker wen my bike was still a 180cc reg as 50 bike is yamaha engine is gilera..... but coz i am 18 and he cant tell me isit resticted blah blah i just said its a deresticted 50 does about 45mph and he was like okay mate have a safe journey

 

just risk it mate, dont fly about every where drive sensible!

 

Okay, ill show my dad what you said, ive told him all this but he wont listen but oh well.

 

me and my 2 m8s were riding to colege the other week and a copper come up behind us so we all slowed down to 30 in a 40 zone and had a monster traffic jam behind us any way we come to the light and the 5 0 pulled up next to us and both coppers were laughing then they told us to stick to the speed limit and they new the bikes were de-restricted so stop mugging them of by thinking they wouldnt wouldnt no.

 

A few days ago i saw a copper coming up behind me, so i quickly slowed down to 30 and they just followed me right up my arse like any other driver would. But they know that alost every ped on the road is illegal, but its much easier for them to just let them go rather than pulling them over, talking to them for ages and filling in loads of paperwork. As long as your not riding around like a twat, you should be fine. Also, i've heard that they are more likely to stop you if you are riding around in packs of like 5+ bikes.

 

heard? they ar emore likely to pull you over if theres loads of you but anyhing more than 20 they just seem to give up in my experience :eh:

 

the worst thing was a group of kids in a corsa started chasing me and were inches away from my tyre so i was doin 30 and when i was on a straight i opened the throtal and blitzed them got up to about 70 in a 30 and a copper was about to pull out so i wedged my brakes on had the back wheel locked up and still went past at about 40 and i could see the police bloke smiling couldnt beleive it any ways turned out it was some kids dad and he got everything done to his aerox and goes about 80 and his dad fitted everything for him lol

 

haha lucky bas*ard i had the same on my RS50 god bless it i had a supra trying to get to me so i whacked on the throttle got to 75 pretty quickly coppers where infront about 3 cars so i had to also slam on and i was still doing over 30 and all i saw was him watch me going haha!

i was on my nrg on a str8 doing 12mph then a micra tried overtakin me on the sly, so i overtook her smashed into the side of her when he tried overtaking me then opened up my throttle and got to like 120 mph
