Hi, I'm getting a s6 21mm carb for my scooter I'm just wondering if anyone has done this upgrade and could tell me how much they had to fiddle with their jets?

I'm not really clued up on fiddling with jets or carbs but been advised by many people to upgrade to 21mm carb so following that advice I spoke to a lad called ricky at ped parts and said I would then need to run an open air filter and jet my carb so hoping this goes smoothly.

    cheers

I also know that jetting etc is different for everybike but it a vauge Idea is good to start with!

I'm looking at getting a covered air filter to with it so I know I need to jet for that, I'm looking at buying a pack of dellorto 88-110 jets I hope this is a good place to start

it's a cable choke fitted as std you need a cable for it if you don't have one, thou you can get "pull" replacement type which is just a lever on the choke no cables down side is you don't have the choke in an easy to get place you have to put the choke on at the carb. the filter size is 34 or 38 can't remember will measure tonite for you, my bike is a 4T so I will be running a Polini EVO open filter in the summer and switch over to an enclosed filter in winter months yours is a 2T personally I would stick with using the std airbox with a better pannel filter from either Malossi or Polini.

I was looking at keeping the box but was advised to use covered filter but will see, the spec says 38 for size can't find filters in that size  but never mind! Will have to buy a manual choke level :(
