was thinking about getting some 180 gears for my gilera runner 125 sp engine but just wanted to no if it is worth it and will there be much change cheers
Yeah worth it if you have a 172kit you will see big top speed increases plus you will be able to cruise at high speed without thrashing the engine!
depending on spec... if you have the usual list of mods (kit carb pipe and the like) your better off with a gear up on thew 125 gearing.. if you have a couplke mods but nothing special switch for 180's
sorry to spam minor ,i have a 180 engine .172 flowed cases ,highly ported all bolt on part aswell ,should i keep the 180 gears or get gear up ,there very hard to find
id switch to a gear up on a 125 primary.. 180 gears arnt THAT much longer than 125.. just with a gearup the increase becomes SILLY. so ye, 125 primary/aftermarket secondary.. should have a 100mph engine so gear it for that

i douobt you would use the better bottom of the 180 gears, hardly notice it unless you time yourself. will certianly miss the top speed tho
well im going to go santa pod a lot ,fuck dynos im want to no real speed not really going to be used on road alot only for events ,,,so 125 primary sencodny gear ,fuck ill test them both at pod thanks for the advise need to find 125 gear box now
ye its best to just have a few gearsets lying about if your into scoots, saves switching/re-pressing stuff all the time
