What's everyone's thoughts? My mate just got on the road on his gilera h@k, been fully rebuilt. It's got a standard engine with just a performance pipe (jetted too). Went for a ride with him for the first time today, and surprisingly he pretty much keeps up with my aerox! It's geared for top end so he has to ride the clutch to get it going, but it's actually quite nippy! I had a ride on it, I kinda like it but I think it's hard work. I ride mx so gears aren't a problem, it's just that there's no power till 9,000 rpm, and then the power is gone by about 11,000. It's kinda cool but it's so gutless, I destroy him up hills because he always has to be changing gears to keep the revs up. The thing that surprised me though was how good the top speed is! I was probably doing 55 on mine, and he just kept going! It's been on gps at 67mph, but to be fair that was on a 2 mile stretch. He can't touch me until I'm topped out though (my belt is worn which is why I have shite top speed). He's getting a 70 kit soon though so I'm screwed What do you fellas think of geared bikes compared to peds?
They are both good depends on what side you will look at them... geared bikes are fun and can be tuned a lot and the fuel wont go down like juice... peds are just fast
Honda cub isn't it? That fella with the geared gilera I was on about just stopped by, literally just this minute. He's just put an italkit 70cc kit on it, and run it in... Jesus Christ, goes like my old kx85! I need to make my aerox faster now...
