Ok well i finally got around to fitting my gear up kit and the mental accelaration i had disappeared.
I am presantly running 12.5g rollers and was wondering if i drop the weight a bit ,would it help with the accelaration and still be able to pull the gears?

What clutch springs are you using?

I am using the green malossi clutch spring with the short white contra spring that came with the malossi variator

Unless you have a lot of power, eg 26 plus hp then you will will lose some acceleration, you can't have it both ways, acceleration and top speed.

i actually found that when i fitted a gear up i had to drop the roller weights as they were too heavy with it

Yes doing that is like slipping the clutch on a geared bike but you could loose top speed a little as the rollers are not heavy enough to throw out. By all means give it a go, we can all learn something new!
