Hey guys, i got me a gear up kit from a friend while i was on vacation bu how do i know if it is he right gearing for my bike bearing in mind i ride a typhoon183.Secondly what really is the difference between a secondary and primary gear up?
There is hardly any choice for 125's so it's pretty easy. Anything you have will be fine unless you have been given a really unusual old gear up. The difference between primary and secondary is basically just what part of the gear box you are changing. Primary is the imput shaft where the clutch sits and another gear and secondary is the output shaft. It doesn't matter which one you change as the gears combine. I'm pretty sure you can't get pre-pressed gears for 125's either so it really doesn't matter what one you use.
