Hi guys just fitted malossi 70 sport to my gilly dna and looking for a gear up, 20% or less. Only one I found is this
    http://www.pedparts.co.uk/product/956/malossi-primary-gear-kit-gilera-dna-50
14/48 teeth, will my kit pull this I'm guessing the ratios will be different than normal scoots because of the large wheels the dna has. If anyone has any experience with the dna or can link me to a suitable gear up for the malossi sport would be greatly appreciated :)

yes, that kit is fine for malossi sport-
the dna gearbox is lower geared than the other piaggio engines because of the larger back wheel (which gives it the same gearing overall)
14:48 is almost 3.5:1 which is quite a bit lower geared than a normal piaggio gearup kit would be -so again this is to compensate for the larger wheel :)

well I've been running without a gear up with the 70s and it's fine mate, most people don't bother fitting gear ups on sport 70s, I knew it would fit I just wanted to know the ratio of that gear up I linked, which Andy from pedparts answered for me, as I don't want to loose my acceleration as I'm not to bothered about Top speed, and I've still gained 8mph and it doesn't over rev:)

true its only worth getting one on zips because of the small wheels as the gearing runs out at 58mph on there even a 50cc can get to that

A gear up kit should not affect the acceleration as this is taken care of by the variator, just make sure that you have a good variator and you will benefit inboth top end from the gear up kit and acceleration from the variator.

ah ok, which is the best variator the malossi multivar or the polini (not the naff one in the high speed kit) I run a polini belt at the moment

I don't know which one is best for your bike, but both have a good rep.
