take the tranny cover off, and try and move your variator up and down left and right, if it moves then your seals are on the way out, if it doesent move then that isnt the problem, sounds like a carb problem, have you checked for blocked jets etc?
the main jet only kicks in at full throttle. so could be some dirt in the jet. take your carb apart clean it out put back together....make sure there is petrol getting into the carb. check your spark plug too. doesn't sound belt related if its dieing.....because if it was slipping your revs wouldn't die. hmmm.... definately sounds like carb related to me. luke
probably the float running out.. does it die after prolonged periods of full throttle? as it may be a fuel pipe problem or the tap not feeding enuff fuel.
Could be a split manifold happend to my mate, was fine at about half throttle then when you full throttle air rushed in through thr split in manifold and made it die till he dropped back to full throttle, like someone said deafntly sounds like carb/fuel related. If it was mains first sign what be rumbling at top speed, i think?
check your main jet isnt blocked or fallen out, if its fine at half throttle and bogs out at full, then i would say its something up with the main jet, it only comes into play after half throttle
Crank seals dont really just mess up..they either wear over time or someone sticks a screwdriver at them and they start leaking lol Most likely to be problem with carb, check fuel line and main jets...only takes a minute and that could be your problem sorted. Anyway why are all you lot in ona friday night? lool
