Hi I have a malaguti phantom f12 50cc 1999 model and the fule gauge has stopped working ...I have checked all wiring and there is no brakes in any of the wires so i took the sender from the tank and if I touch the the metal arm to the right the gauge will go to full but if I move the arm it will drop straight to empty if I hold it half way it will not say half tank on the gauge will it be a new sensor that I require or is there anything I can try to fix it as the part is very hard to come by. ..any help would be appreciated I have attached a picture of the sender in my bike

Have tried taking the float pivot pin out, bend the two tags that run on the (shunt board) winding for a better name? These can wear and need tweaking a little, or tighten the pivot. If it don't work the try CMPO as that look's similer to a chinese m/c sender unit!!
