    Hi all.

Im new here and new to the scooter world. I have a 2012 Gomoto 150cc scooter, but not in great condition.

Happy to say she runs, however consumes a ton of fuel. I get about close to 100km (62miles) on a full tank. At top end she can go 80 kmh ( 50 mph), but when she gets there... loss of power and slowly start dying on me in movement.

Here are the following I have done so far:
    -Carburetor cleaned and tuned
-Fuel line replaced (had a massive cut in it).
    -Fuel filter
    -Air filter
    -Spark plug
    -Gasket cover
    -Oil replaced

I only know basics and I'm at a dead end. Please help.

But why though. Been trying to figure out what the cause could be.

If you back off the throttle when it starts to die, does it pick up and go normally again for a short time, then starts to die again?

I have to come to a stop. Let it idle and then get going again. Only for it to happen over and over.

Sounds like the float bowl is emptying quicker than it is filling up, are you sure its the right carb for the bike?

I was thinking float level too low.

Im thinking I'm just going to save myself the trouble and buy a new carb. Theyre cheap anyways. However I believe the carb will have to be set and unfortunately thats something I havent done before

Better to rule out things before throwing money at it first.
The float height can be adjusted mostly, provided there is a metal tang on the float itself, if it's plastic then it can't be adjusted.
Plus you need to find out if it is the right carb for the engine or if someone has changed it for something that did the job just to sell it.
I can ascertain from your original post that you bought this scooter as it was, so shall assume that you have never had it running perfectly before all this started....correct?
Here's a little something for you to look at:

Judging by what they say here you are not that far off the standard fuel comsumption, but yes there is still something wrong with it.

Does your carb look like this one:
This is for a chinese 125cc + 150cc scooter, they are very similar on the 4 stroke 50cc versions, just a smaller bore.
Note the number on the side of it.

If you look here it will show the measurments as well for you to check:
