on my ludix, ive just fitted a new piston and throttle cable. The throttle cable doesnt sit properly in the top of the carb, could this be causing the fuel leak? it never did it until the 90 degree bend pipe on the throttle cable near the carb jumped out of place. Even when the scooter is switched off its leaking fuel from the over flow. Could it be because of the throttle cable? Need to know asap as im losing a lot of fuel:(

Have you the right cable ??? ,several manufacturers may put them out for your 'ped/micro differences (tooling/suppliers),if your sure you have/very closely inspect with the old!.,have you contaminated anything during re-fit!?!!!(springs/spacers,etc.)

Add.,there is nothing worse than getting a new part/being very happy about it //// and being complacent in any way 'bout fitting it!,you can get a little blind-sided and sometimes the smallest details can make a huuuge difference,
    i've f....d a few bikes up this way!. :D.

Without actually seeing it i'd say you had the wrong cable!, "pretty much" kind of points to that.

the throttle cable must be seated properly into your carb. im not sure how its not just over revving when you start it!

*check pipes ticking over + under load!,had problem with last 'ped -ticking over fine/but under load any way splits can lead to arterial spray (ruined engine case paint),slmost ended up going out in a blaze of glory at 34 mph!.

Haha its not the correct throttle cable so ive ordered a new one. Got another problem with it now, it wont start off electric start even with full battery, but starts straight away off the kick. Once kicked the revs build up then just bogs out and dies. Its had a new piston fitted recently and ive not exactly been slow with it. Could it be that the piston is dead already? Or is it a fuel fault as the manual fuel tap ive got fitted doesnt allow a constant flow of fuel?

Also it will rev and the wheel will spin fine when the scooter is tilted to either side but if its upright it just bogs:/

How'd you use your starter on a regular basis,i was told once never more than ©15-20s max or can lead to failure of motot/does it click?-when button pushed ( = relay/switch o.k.),non-std fuel tap (for the bike/or if it fits?(check cap vent/filter/line).,revs build up yhen dies(carb. o.k./idle set, etc.)
