what you could do is remove your engine take it to a shop with the bike get them to fit it and give u a recipt for installing a 125 motor might cost tho but its worth it.

i was gonna say that, unbolt the engine then just ask them to put the bolt in, bolt the shock in and connect the carb, cost you about 10-20 quid and you get your bike, just stand in there and watch, and say that you just need it done for the dvla, then just ask for a receipt

    Agree'd with last two.

Some places wont do it because they need to cover their own back. But take it in genuinely and say you need it fitted and the most it can cost you is about an hours worth? £30 Even two hours. £60. means getting the bike down there though.

dont let the bike place suspect. Some of them can be bastards and charge more than its worth or just refuse to cover their own backs.

    Good luck.

You put it from a 50 to a 125 and they're givin you this stress?
Usually do this for 180 down to 125 regging. Can be harsh now days!

dvla do this all the time to stop ringers.think yourself lucky , when i done a porche 911 left to right hand drive and new 3.5 litre engine replacing the weedy 2.7, bad boys wide body kit . changed colour from fed to black and "cup"wheels it went to the cop shop for 3 weeks.. then the tossers found it all legal and made us "q"plate it...halving its value

If that don't work do what the others said.

Registering UP shoudnt be a problem.

But I dont know why they are being idiots. You sure that engine was legal and OK to be on the road?

This is a problem when buying used engines.

Did you just fill in V5 and send it off or put a note or something? Trying to work out why they are being so harsh with you? Frustrating when they do this!

its because you need an engineers report if you've done it yourself, or its ok if a garage has done it - they dont want people just wedling in an engine any old way.

just dont bother telling them about the mod I wouldnt..

you reregistering the ped as a vehicle with a 125cc engine, when your only going to fit a 172cc kit in.. tell them about the 172 or not and your not going to be legal anyways so in my view theres no poin in getting urself worked up mate..
