front brake

    cant get one of the screws out of the top of the reservoir on my xr s front brake soaked it in rust killer but it wont move ,
    so before I destroy the head off the screw ,is there a simple trick to get the blighter out

    I use a small center punch n hammer to knock the screw undone, never failed me so far !

    I use two methods.

    1: Get a screwdriver bit and tap it into the cross head slots with a small hammer, being careful not to break the cap. Then using a small 1/4 drive ratchet and socket to suit the bit, keep as much downward force on the bit as you can and it should loosen.

    2: Impact driver. These are normally 1/2" drive, but using reducers from the socket set you can get it down to the same size as a screwdriver bit. Do as above, just don't hit it hard enough to break the cap.
