So my new EBC pads came today, i have fitted them on my own, 1st time i have done anything like that, lost some 4dot so had to bleed them

1st time i cocked it up and put more air than oil in im guessing lol, and on 2nd attempt i got the brake 'working' it dont feel as tight as before is this maybe down to a little trapped air still?

and also my new front pads when applyed squeak a little? is this normal?

(When i say 'Oil' i mean Fluid)

new pads will squeak a little untill they wear in

see u tube for bleeding brakes very simple

just needd fluid, a pipe and the bottle of fluid for the end of the pipe to go in, and a spanner for the bleed nipple

when your bleeding bike brakes it is best if you have a mate to help .
connect a length of clear pipe to the bleed nipple and put end in a jar .
cover everything you are likely to spill fluid on .
REMOVE TOP OF MASTER CYLINDER AND SQUELCHY RUBBER THINGY. And top up with fluid if nessacary.

Get your slave /mate to gently pump the brake lever and then when you say HOLD they keep it held back as far as they can .(communication is vital take your time! :D)

WITH THE LEVER HELD crack the bleed nipple open a tiny bit , allow the fluid bubbles etc to move then CLOSE bleed nipple . Then say RELEASE and your mate can let go

Repeat this cycle checking the fluid level in the master cylider{bit you pour it in to} add fluid as nessacary if it goes down to far you will be pumping air down your brake line.

remeber dont open the bleed nipple more than half a turn each time , to much and it drags air through.

After a while your mate should feel the brake getting harder to pull so once you are satisfied make sure bleed nipple is CLOSED and replace top of master cylinder go easy on the screws they are usually made of chocolate!

not essential but helps- when you have finished Get your mate to hold the brake lever as far back as they can then put a cable tie around the lever and twitgrip and pull up tight.
Leave this to cook overnight then loosen the chocolate screws on the master cylinder a quarter of a turn then do em back up . Now you can cut the cable tie off and you should have DEMON brakes . Usefull the night before an MOT.
