    Hi

My son managed to spill 2 stroke oil when topping up so we took the seat/bucket out to get at the mess and clean up. We found a wire wrapped (as in wrapped round the loom not part of it) to the loom to the coil which looks like 1 end has been cut and the other end has a "bullet" connector on but wasn't connected to anything. Piece of wire is pink and is about 3 inches long - anyone know what this is and should we be looking to reconnect/repair? I've seen online where people cut a pink wire on the CDi to derestrict the bike but I thought the CDi was near the battery on most mopeds (not looked)?

Moped is a 2015 CPi Formula R 50 in standard trim. From day 1 my son has said it does 37mph but I just thought his speedo was "optimistic".

    Thanks

    Gordon

OK, found the CDi - it's tucked away at the side under the seat near the coil - so close to where the wire was. It has a 10mm long piece of pink wire sticking out which is cut so that is where it came from. So, should it be connected back up and where does the other end connect to as I can't see anything the bullet connector would fit onto?

Any idea what the other end of the wire with the bullet connector should be connected to ??

yeah, its either the clutch or front pully that has a pickup/sensor.
