Anyone know where I could get a pair of front fork gaiters, for the Honda Sky SGX 50 ?.....preferably new, had a good look around and they don't seem to be available, or if I can't source any, will some off another model fit ? 28660864_1975872079319064_8387371492444656350_n.jpg

I see that what they call "universal" one's are available on both Amazon and Ebay.....maybe that is the way forward....I will measure them exactly tomorrow.

WP_20180322_009.jpg On closer inspection, these gaiters are square at the bottom, where they cover the wheel nuts, so are probably unique to the Sky.....I thought that they were in two parts, but are all one....Mmmhhhh.......

    Yikes thats scary!
Just had a quick look around and it seems they are only available as an assembly, complete with springs and all!
93 euros was the best I found.

You could try measuring the bottom of the fork and the slider as well as the length. It's probably not important they actually fit round the square part. Unless they are actually covering something they might as well come off.
Chances are they are not actually square and it's an extra long round part on the gaiter which forms a square shape. I have seen some with extra long ends. As long as all they are covering is a normal chrome slider there is no reason for them to be there. If the square bit is protecting something just cut it off above it.

Thanks for that.....that might be the way forward.....a biker friend gave me a pair today, but they are the wrong dimensions.....I think a pair of those universal one's will have to do..........

Looks like the bottom end covers the square bottom of the sanctions to protect the axle nut from dirt and keep it in place. You may find that a universal one need cable ties to stop it riding up.

Thanks for that.....yes, that would seem to be the case....the original one's would be better, but if not available then I will have to improvise.......

Improvise with a innertube.. measure, cut, slide on then cable tie. It could work as i used to do it on my mountain bike to protect them forks.
