    Well,

I lurk on here all the time but dont post much , some awesome bikes and knowledge here.

I always wanted to get back into scooters after having them when i was 16 (23 now) and with the way fuel prices are going now is definitely the time lol plus every biker needs some sort of 2 stroke in their life

So, i bought this 2001 100cc last year to get ready for the road, its only got 6000 km on it some racer had it as a paddock bike and i got it super cheap. It has low kms and the frame, even the exhast pretty much have zero rust. I had to replace some panels as some tabs were broken from it being leant on stuff or its side when he couldnt use the stand on grass. Well i didnt have to, they were staying on fine, but i wanted to do it right.

I did some work but quit in early october as it was too cold in my grans garage, i was living in a rented house at the time with no shed/garage so had to put it there. Well i got my own house 6 weeks ago and me tasty new shed is being build on monday so the project is coming up from my grans and my bench, compressor, tools etc are coming from my da's and now that ill have my proper workshop set up its back on lol

My plan with this is to have a reliable ride i can go to work and errands on. I know its all about gileras, piaggios etc on here lol but i wanted another speedy cos i used to have one (ahhh, memories). Im after something like a gilera or piggy for a proper tuning, painting, polishing project after this is done and the speedy will be my everyday hack. Hope you still want to read this thread lol, i enjoy fixer-uppers as much as "show bike" threads.

It's always nice to see someone inspired by others on this forum to do a build!
Check about on here and ebay, maybe it might be to your taste to get an aftermarket exhaust or evo body kit?

    Will be watching this one!

    cheers mate!

no im going to keep this standard for work/errands etc tho i would put a pipe on it maybe if i get a good second hand one at the right price but not going to pay full whack for one for this bike so yeah watching ebay for one lol

im going to get something else for a tuning and styling project when this is on the road and keep this for a runabout!

wish i had a pic of my old speedfight i had when i was 16 (7 years ago !!) it had a pipe and polini variator and some other wee bits on it was a good going thing for a 50cc
