ford fiesta, other than a fucked engine(wireing problem)

i thought id try my luck to see if anyone wil be able to help me, if car help isnt allowed just delete it dw about it and ill take it to a garage lol

basically since i reversed into that brick pillar, i had to get my lights changed, so i stuck some cheap lexus ones on for now and since then......

when my headlights are off, if i put the brakes on and the brake lights come on but the headlights also come on very dim, like the first click if i wanted them on, and if i put my headlights on the brake lights come on contantly weather the brake pedal is down or not...

the indicators are fine and the reverse lights are fine etc..

also sometimes after a longish drive i can turn the car off and take the key out but the enigne will still run until i turn the headlights off??? :wtf: :wtf:

been told it could be an earth problem or mabye the brake switch or something?

any help is apreciated cheers.

change ball the light bulbs sounds silly but ive known of it to happen alot

 

Sounds like those lexus lights have bad earths mate. Take them out and try the old broken ones. Bad earths can make electrics go fucking weird... As for turning the ignition off taking the key out and the car still running thats made fucking stupid and made me go cratch: cratch:. nevere heard of that before.

 

does that when the timings out but doubt a knock would do it
