foam filter

    ok i bought a new red malossi foam filter for my nrg power and my mate said il have to upjet but i thought id try it out and yep he was right it bogged on set of and lost all top end speed so im gonna need a bigger jet but were can i get one and what size ive looked through ebay and nothing on there but even if there was i dont know what size il need any help guys please.

    also i know someone who has a technigas exhaust of a speedfight he only wants £10 for it will it fit my nrg and will it make any difference ? cheers

    im not really clued up on peds im more of a chain and sprocket guy.
    think il go for the tt pipe that comes with lighter rollers and clutch springs is there any jetting involved when changing pipes ?

    Yes you always have to rejet when changing exhausts and pretty much everything. It's common that the weight that comes with them isn't the right one either.

    been told my ped has 6.5g rollers as standard ? and going down to 5.5 is a good all round weight ? the guy said il gain a little top end but still be ok round town.
    there is a young lad down the road from me who has 3.5 rollers in and he takes ages to get going and makes loads of noise but he has loads of top end speed.

    5.5 could be about right but it depends on other factors such as engine wear, rider weight, etc. Properly setup you shouldn't lose power anywhere. You should gain some as you are adding an aftermarket exhaust.

    havnt had chance to do anything yet but on my way home tonight it started to make a really loud squeek/whine i dont know if a brake is touching as cant make out were its comming from but it seems to be one thing after another with this thing if it carry's on its taking a trip to the scrap yard
