flatslide carbs

    whats the advantage of these over normal carbs?

    you do he's just gona say the same thing again after that reply loooool

    'if you no how a normal carb (normal being phbh type carbs) the size of the venturi is needed to determine the spray of fuel from the needle and is how the pilot jet works too, in a flatslide carb the idea of the venturi is illiminated by the slide design. Soooooo would work best on full throttle......'

    ^complete and utter bollocks but it could be true....... just thought i'd give a lil bit of hope :bird:

    nearly correct!!!

    on a round slide carb there is quite a large slide recess (The recess the slide slides up and down in)

    this recess in theory can cause a disruption to high speed air flow!!!

    A flat slide has a groove so to speak which in theory causes much less
    disruption to high speed air flowing through the carb ;)

    my college coursework doesn't have a link............. sorry :w00t:

    as far as i can remember it is something like that, it works best at full throttle hence its used on drag-scoots

    if you are considering one then dont, not good for everyday use
