I have a 2004 Suzuki AY50 Kantana-R LC Fuel Injection in VGC with just under 11,000 miles on the clock, 1 previous owner from new. Just been MOT'd a few weeks ago, passed no problem atall.

It pulls away nicely BUT when it reaches max revs it bogs aggresively when on full throttle. To get back up to full revs I have to let the throttle off completely and build up the revs again to get more power.

I have no idea whats wrong with it. It starts first time hot or cold, idles fine its just when riding it develops a flat spot and can't rev to max rpms. Anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Been involved in MX all my life, but I am a total noob when it comes to peds - PLEASE HELP!

hopefully this is a transmission related problem, as your bike is fuel injected any fuel related problems will probably need specialist attention...

you dont mention a sports pipe being fitted, so i'll presume the scooter is stock :glare:

the 1st thing that comes to mind is flatted or too heavy rollers...if the rollers check out ok
Has the bike recently had a new kevlar belt, as these often run a bit boggy for about 20 or 30 miles while they bed in...

The service record shows it was serviced twice. First serviced in 04' at 3000 miles, last serviced by a dealer in 05' at 5500 miles. It has been declared SORN for 1 year, not been started/ridden. I knew the previous owner and he claimed he had done all his own servicing from there after.

It has a Technigas full exhaust. Everything else is stock as far as I'm aware.
I'm thinking about purchasing a Polini Variator kit and Polini Kevlar belt is this worth it?
What tools will I need to fit these parts?

    Thanks for your help guys.

if its got a sports pipe, it will indeed need lighter rollers and tighter clutch springs ;)
