hi , ive just bought a waterpump repair kit for my aerox (the rubber gasket or seal around the edge has water dripping out of it) do i just take the hoses off undo the pump0 cover am slide it off then fit the new gasket an its done? sorry first moped an im not good with engines lol :cheers: :cheers:
you have to take the flywheel cover off aswell, so you can get to the cog once youve done that thers a pin that holds the cog on to the shaft take that out, pull off the cog and slide the pump out, just make sure you look closely at how it all goes together when you take it apart makes it easier to put it back together. its not to difficult anyway.

yeah you need to take the pump out because the seals behind it, think thers a circlip on the cog too? youve probably done it now anyway. aerox engines are pretty simple if you just take your time and see how it all comes apart.
ohhh i thought the bit leaking(the rubber seal or what ever it is) was the pump lol got the kit an it has bearings a little fan type thing an a seal never new it was going to be tiny lol hmm recon itll be ok for a newbie to do or should i pay the 40 quid an get the shop to do it?
ok cheers for all the help mate! ill have a go at it tomorrow so the 3 bolts that hold the little cover thing on(the thing the water hoses go in) do i take them out an slide the thing off then replace seal then if the fan things fucked replace that too?
