I always do my own tyres. I do it using a tyre changing machine though, Done and dusted in about 5 mins!

(And i dont to put up with having the fear of any monkey chewing up my rims!)

The big arrow facing the wrong way might be a give away...

Anyway their made to work going a certain way, I'm no expert but I'm sure you'll get less grip using them the wrong way round. Especially in the wet as the groves chuck the water to the side, back to front they'd scoop the water into the middle of the tyre.

Yeah your right. Wouldnt want to end up doing that i would jus take it to the tyre shop let them Fit it :p . You only pay like £10 Extra to get them fitted anyway.

I've done a few by hand, not easy but you get there in the end. Pretty fiddly when it's tubed tyres aswell!

As Jake says easiest on a machine, it gets the rubber on and off in seconds

    NO no no and NO!

washing up liquid contains salt, salt causes alloy corrosion, give it a month and your rims will be furry.

when you take the tyre off it'll probably be crusty and furry along the tyre bead.

I've used fairy liquid before, once the tyre's slipped on wash everything well before inflating the tyre
