    Hi everyone,
As the title reads i'm trying to fit a 28mm PWK to my runner. The slide is not seated with the std throttle cable attached even with the adjuster fully in. Loads of people have fitted these carbs to runners and i've never heard of having to modify the cable. Has anyone else had this problem?

you'll just need to purchase a longer cable, not too expensive to be honest, get one from www.pedparts.co.uk

Everyone needs to fit a longer cable when they fit a bigger carb. Sometimes - if you've got the slack - you can just trim the outer housing. But scooter manufacturers are not known for fitting slack anything. In fact it's more common that the cables & fuel pipes are too short.

Yeah thanks. I wasn't concerned about buying a new one if I have to. Just in Australia that means about a 2 week delay for postage from the UK, plus I wouldn't know which one to buy. A replacement runner one will be the same length. Turbovetto is right, I have removed the locating bracket to give maximum length but i'd still be pushing it to get the total cable length I need from trimming the outer housing. Will give it a go though as I have nothing to lose I guess.
