fitting piston

    is there an east way to fit a new piston the rings on my new one kept getting stuck, ended up actualy breaking the piston rings n piston? :rules:

    Theres locating pegs on the piston...

    The ring (or rings) need to be each side of the peg (or pegs)

    also depending on ring type, you have to make sure the ring(s) arent upside down.

    if you study the ends of these rings, youll see they are shaped, and if they are fitted upside down they wont slide all the way into the ring lands, and would snap :)

    you would have if you read the lil slip that came with the kit... or even try'd to read up a little on what you were doing befor you threw a 130+ quid part at a bike... its all in the manual, all over the net and pritty basic knowledge for anyone servicing there bike, let alone tunning.

    let this be a lesson, knowledge is free, parts arnt. good luck getting it sorted :hello:
