Another geriatric joining the fun. I'm old, very old. Have an Aerox 2014 2t with a big bore kit of some description. Bought used (and abused) a couple of weeks ago . Runs nicely, has ok, power (still has stock carb) has a "performance" exhaust. Have been into the variator and clutch 3 times, gearing seems nice enough, it's smooth through the speed range and pulls ok up to an indicated (but wildly optimistic) 50 Almost certainly going to change the carb and lose the airbox in the new year. Will read up on here to find a recommended carb/filter/reeds/jets, no intention of upping the rev limit. I'm semi retired, do metal sculpture to make ends meet, fly for fun, teach people to fly gliders, have a Yamaha MT10 for terrorising grannies on the A roads, aiming to do the same round town Roy
Keep the standard airbox over the wetter months, but summertime stick an open filter on it. You'll need to re-jet obviously for the extra air intake of the filter. 50 is about right for a de-restricted one, getting there should be quite brisk. Playing with the clutch slipper springs brings loads of front end fun for take off
