Well my engine is out of my ped for the second time, but last time when i put it back in i had to keep using the electric started for ages until it would start, I would like to avoid this when i put my engine back in this time because I haven't got an electric start anymore, any suggestions?

Anything else to do/be careful of when putting my engine back in.

Its a Piaggio engine in an sr btw.

    Thanks in advance.

change your rings :D but ye, other than that a fresh engine should start verry easily unless theres somthing worn. theres no fuel pump on the bike hence im guessing poor compression causing the poor starting.

ooops I didn't explain myself properly, it starts fine normally just last time i took my engine out when i put it in it took ages to start which wasnt too bad because I had an electric start but now I only have a kick start.
    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

The reason it takes ages to start is because fuel has to fill the float chamber up again before getting into the engine!!

you can pull the vacuum pipe off the carb and suck on it to pull fuel into the carb!!

What should i do about 2 stroke for the first time i start it to stop it from seizing?

Let it idle/tick over/warm up for a few mins before you ride it
