so i passed my cbt yesterday and ive rode about 30 miles alone Ped's a Yamaha Neos 50cc stock 2001 2 stroke Ive been sorting it out over the past month before i did my test I was going down a main road a bit to close to the car in front today when a massive pot hole bounced me at about 30mph i almost flew off the bike but kept it then the second tyre ended up knocking off the front fairing i forgot the top screws so it flew off skidded across a busy road missed a car and stopped near the path i slammed on the grab the fairing and it was scratched quite abit ive t/cut most of them out but its still pretty visible I feel like a failure because ive only been riding a day and look whats happened Its like a Red/Magenta color im probably looking at re-spraying it but i dont think ill find the exact color? ideas Cheers
Look mate down be down hearted, you`ve just got your pride and joy on the road and you`ve dropped it. It happens and believe me it`ll happen more as your road riding experince and journey continues. You`ve walked away and your scoot has a few battle scars, hold off the re-spray and get a few more miles ahead of you before you start blinging the scoot. You will have a few more off`s and hopefully no harm done, you will learn to read the road, the CBT is no substitute for experience and the only way to learn is to ride. Get some spare panels from Ebay and tart them up, put them to one side and ride your scoot, drop it and have idiots bump it/scratch it/tune it then when you ready to move up (the magic age of 17) you can replace the panels and make enough back off the scoot to buy an Aprilia RS 125 which WILL blow up  or a Corsa "redtop" which will do the same but be more expensive! Welcome to the real world my friend "May the road rise to meet you".
The lesson you learnt on your 1st day was: dont tailgate cars :good: because not only does it annoy the hell out of car drivers having some idiot on a hair dryer riding unnecessarily close to them, but also you cant see pot holes coming up and you could wreck your bike or worse....fall off youll learn a few more lessons before your through ive been riding since 1986, and yeahh learnt a few lessons along the way...
leave the front mudgaurd off m8 they look shit on a neos i tock mine off lol,and cut down the stupidly big back mudgaurd
