hey guys , im starting to look for a car now so i can get it sweet for when im old enough to drive. and when your 17 your cars pretty much decided by your insurance - ive come to decide between 3 car styles , a 20yr old rwd bit of drifting well i wish but for isurance sake there wont be enough power to drift or a 3 door hatch back like a saxo or 106 rallye OR a defender 90 offroader lifted ect .its a hard choice because theres so many factors but what would you guys go for considering how much power your restricted to beacuse of insurance cheers , tom

tbh not all about engine size that determines insurance,

probs could get a 2.0 mondeo for about the same as like a 1.4 hatchback.

just keep trying diff cars and diff companys.

pretty much bhp and intended use i mean i could afford a v8 3.5 defender and it would cost less than a 1.6 bmw
i know how it works i just dont no what to get

well if u ask me i reckon u cud afford every single one of them but the risk of pushin urself and the car and not been able to handle it at our young chance taking age and crashin is greatly increased. think! lol :D

didnt think anyone would touch insuring under 25's on 4x4's without being through the roof, to insure any of the above cars you must have plenty of dough unless its goin on your mum and dads. as for bob tail i doubt you would get insured at all as its highly modified. i am 32 and couldnt get me missus on the insurance for golf cabrio cause she is under 25

better to let us know your budget including insurance and weather your goin on parents or your own

if you go for older car like datsun or manta you would get classic insurance i had corrado g60 and golf cabrio on it and they were cheeper than a fiesta van lol

not fancy a capri? plenty of drift potential, classic insurance, look cool as fuck. i am sure dave would point you in the right direction if you were after one.

You want a car that is RWD with absolutely no driving experience, good luck.

you are worried about having a big car because you are inexperienced and wont be able to park it, but you want a bmw e30 because you want to drift, are you a total cunt? or do you just know no better?

seriously, kids like you make MY insurance expensive....

Your a new driver, aint made of moeny and you want to 'drift'..
no car in your price range is going to drift...unless your tyres are bald and its wet.
gotta crawl before you can walk
