Had my first outing today, didn't stay out long just a quick run to wake it up from hibernation. not done a great deal while it's been away but got what i wanted to do out the way: Oil + filter done new chain and sprockets Integrated indicators to tidy up the back end new number plate on my todo list next will be putting something behind the number plate so it's flat, it's as legal as my old one i had as this one is the correct size and can easily be read.
Good idea with the plate ben bikes looking sweet too Can i ask did you go straight onto this restricted after your A2? If so was it a bastard getting insured etc? cheers
The bike isn't restricted, i thought about it for abit, either coming up with some sort of throttle stop or electronic restriction but gave up. with all my gear and shit on i don't look like i'm under 20 years old ( i'm 21 in october anyway ) so the chances of a copper even asking about it is very small as only a handful know about the law but enforcing it is a different matter. on the DVLA website, it does say it has to be 33bhp bla bla.. but it doesn't say where the 33bhp has to be measured from? there is no proof needed, the certificates you can get are legally worthless and you do not have to have one anyway. after a year my insurance has halved, easily done with ebike insurance
What do you mean finally back out you tart  nc30 styleeee numberplate ay, is it legal because it can be read from bla bla distance?
aswell as the weather being shit i couldn't afford to tax/insure it, i stll can't really so have used my capital one to bail me out for a while. and i prefer the look, no shitty brackets ruining the bikes arse plate can easily be read if you take a few steps away from the bike, it's probably not legal but i can prove it's the legal size, and i CAN read it so it'd have to be a cunt of a copper to fine me i think. oh and wheelies should be abit better this year, i've changed the gearing so flicking it up in 2nd shouldn't be so finicky, need alot more practice :bike:
Doubt very much youll get away with the plate to be honest....but i agree does make the back end look better I think ive spotted a flaw in its legality straight away... dont look like its got a number plate light. cratch:
Got an LED light down there and new gearing is loads better, doubt i'll ever get close to the angles i used to get on the runner, though
Well most copper's around here would pull me straight away for a plate like that. lol Nice looking bike  Made a video yet?
a throttle stop will do for a lgal restriction if a copper ever asks you about it just ask for a deffered test , youll have like 2 weeks to put a restriction in and its the law so they cant say no to it
i dont think that plate would fly in london. i want to give it a go tho. vest once you turn 21 insurance aint THAT bad on a 600 sports. i got qoutes of 2grand upwards then turn 21 and after a years ncb its like 800
plate has to be 15 degree's from vertical or somthing silly.. so no its not legal. needs to tilt upwards not downwards. HEAVILY illegal keep it up unk:
i paid 879 pounds last year, when i was 17, one years ncb. on a 2002 zx6r, not garaged only on driveway! by your logic it will be about 200 quid when im 21 then lol
Bikers are supposed to be rebels anyway, ok maybe not sportsbike ones so much because we don't ride chrome shitters and have long bits of facial hair everywhere but meh. it's as illegal as the ones most people use with the small 1 liners, mine just makes the back end look good enough to get raped if i left it down a dark alley ( in london )
TPFT on my CBR 600 F: At 19, £415 At 20, £315 At 21, £126  Multibike, Honda and Ducati TPFT: At 21, £445 To be continued
 I rang about 12 companies and did all the online quotes before I got my final price, 7/10 wouldn't insure me because of my age and the Ducati, it's insurance group 20 :msn1: Ben, ya not been stopped yet then? I'm too scared to wheelie mine
