filter soaked in oil/petrol after constant riding

hi peeps, put a hebo k&n style air filter on my yamaha aerox 50 which im using 4 college every day until i get my bus pass.
after riding there and back (arround 32 miles), as i let the throttle off after riding flat-out then aply it again it bogs out and wont stop bogging until you jolt the thottle on and off a few times. then when i checked the air filter out it was drenched in petrol and oil so cleaned it out with de-greaser.
I then checked the spark plug and saw that it was running rich colud the running rich be the cause of my filter getting drenched with petrol

yer definately and because of the style of filter it gets trapped cos of dat case on it, tbh if i wer u id either take it off, or re-jet, or even buy a new filter and jet to suit.
dnt worry tho it shuldnt b a major problem

 

check your reeds.

 

try an enclosed sport filter with a plastic shell around it
