Iv just bought a 04 runner and want to do an engine swap is it easy job ? Plus when people swap the handle bars what do they use to see how much fuel and how fast there going ? As up take the original display away ?
Don't waste your time or money. It's a complete hassle with the mods that have to be done. The main thing being that the 125 lumps have a silent block built into the lower frame that the 50's dont. Get the 50 running sweet, sell it, buy a 125 and mod that to a 180. It'll be cheaper and quicker (time wise) in the long run. Hope you have a full license by the way, cos if you mod a 125 to a 180 its not a scooter any more
After reading some of the arguing On this site with engine swaps il stick to my 50cctune it and make the bike look good and enjoy it
Ref riding on your car license, with a 125 you can't, you have to take your cbt first, but with the 50 you can without the cbt providing you passed your car test before 2001 (I think, they keep changing things). But check on the dvla site to be sure. And good decision.
No I have to take a cbt but I'm just going to bore it to 70cc few little upgrades like clutch abd stuff and make it as clean as I can and just enjoy it
If you want to enjoy it, just leave it as it is! 2 wheels are fun no matter what the speed! Don't waste your money if you only want speed, just get something bigger (in my opinion)
Speed isn't everything.A max speed of 70-80 km/h is MORE THAN ENOUGH. The scooters, although made for cheap transportation, are today not only cheap, but FUN,reliable, simple, easy to use and mentain, agile etc. You buy a scooter if you're a kid sick of pedaling,or an adult looking for something fast, fun and agile, not for going fast. Also, speed is overrated. Belive me,i was a kid too when i got my scooter at 15 years and after manny thoughts of how to modify it,i've grown up and realised simple and factory is the best.
