how much of the fan cover should i cut away when fitting my scorpion to my typhoon 172. i have already cut the frame, but need to cut the fan cover, and was worried i may cut too much and cause some damage, any help would be much appreciated !
p.s. i have tried to use the search time and time again but it is no use at all, just brings up to much useless info !

yeh, thats the mod that you need to do for a scorp, he's just put a PM59 on and not changed the fan cover yet.

What they both said. You don't need to cut the fan cover for a PM.

i did mean a pic without a pipe in the way, but it don't matter anymore cut it down and sanded it today, fitted the scorp and put everything together and it fired up and runs.

Belt slipping while the transmission is cold...once things heat up, it should be quiet.
I think its just caused by worn parts
