rite my friend has a runner 179 with a 54 ml crank, basically its eating exhausts and they have all been fine in the first place, and fitted corrected even standards, im thinking is it due to the longer crank as the exhaust is mounted ever so slightly further away. or is it a case of changing the doughnut and pivot mounts????? i say this because i remember minor talking to me about anotehr runner with a longer stroker and he and shiny have made a custom stub and the bracekt has to drilleed to mount it different???? thanks in advance
not taking the piss may work use standard runner exhaust and the bit where downpipe and exhaust connect use couple of gaskets and set it to perfect angle and this should stop it snapping.
the spacer lifts the barrel up and away meaning the pipe doesent fit too well.. you can offset the stub (bit of a pain) or simply elongate the mounting hole at the top of the plate. move the exhaust forward with the bottom bolt in and you will see what direction the hole needs to be made wider (the bottom has a slot for the 125/172 fitment issues) but ye as always with any bike prone to snapping pipes use stiffer springs than the shit pm provide, if the problem persists then replace the block/engine/cradle bushes
