Hey guys, I recently fully rebuilt my engine, I replaced it with new crank bearings and seals. When I put it together everything worked fine and still does but I am experiencing a few problems for some reason... 1) It takes a lot longer to kickstart/electric start... 2) A lot more blue smoke comes out of the exhaust for the few couple minutes of driving even after waiting for it to warm up.. 3) When I shutdown the engine, around 30 seconds later short puffs of smoke continues to come of the exhaust..
im assuming the reason for more smoke would be that u put 2stroke oil to lube up the bearings etc. but if its continuously more then it seems for some odd reason u have more oil in ur mixture (maybe u added more on the oil pump). i would just think that the smoke would be just left over smoke still travelling down the exhaust?...
Cheers... I didn't use 2 stroke oil to lube the bearings. We used grease and then when the bearing was in place, removed as much as possible. No worries the symptoms seem to be disappearing over time anyway.
