Hi my ped is a 2001 Aerox 100cc the only mods are 100cc tecnigas rs pipe and 6.8g rollers soon to be 6.0g. I have been having problems with the exhaust rattling and at high speed the exhaust makes a loud whistling/hissing noise lol and on closer inspection I have noticed that there is no exhaust gasket fitted. Would fitting one solve these problems or just the hissing lol I am deffinately getting a tecnigas gasket for it but want to know in advance if it would solve my problems Thanks.

Sounds like your pipe is just not put on properly tbh.

Never a bad idea to have a gasket and tighten everything up properly

Stuff rattling will only happen if the contact points (the areas where one part touches another) arent together firmly enough and can move about. This could be the end can, where the pipe mounts by the flywheel, the stub ect ect..Unlikely to be gasket related imo.

Try and find a more accurate lacation of where the rattle is comingfrom is the best way to start really

And to check for leaks in a pipe put your finger over the end and see where the smoke comes out

Liam ive got spare gaskets for the whole engine if you simply asked and as for the ratterling its the electric start cog worn, my aerox lump did it and so did my 50, removed it and like magic the noise went

Oh I was reading this guys post and he said not having a gasket can cause the exhaust to rattle lol and yea it is the starter cog I could turn it backwards and forwards a little bit and that is where the noise sounds like its coming from but Id rather keep my electric start.
