Need to measure the diameter of my exhaust pipe, might be getting an endurance scilencer for the bike next week so just wondering how i can measure the pipe to see if it fits. I dont have a micrometer either so suggestions welcome :nerd:
ruler/tape messure..... come on, if you cant figure how to messure sommin i wouldent bother touching a bike
take a piece of cardboard, cut a square out of it and keep increasing the square until it fits over the exhaust, then measure the piece that has been cut out in the cardboard
get a piece of string, wrap it round the exhaust and measure it where it meets, say for example this number is 200mm (example) pi X (r X r) = 200 so... 3.14 X (r X r) = 200 so... 200 / 3.14 = r X r so... 64 (rounded) = r X r so... 8 = R so.... 16 = D piece of fucking piss.
you could do it that way but the cardboard method is easier, some kid in my school could remember pie to 100 places :msn1:
lol i aint read your post just saw the pie method, you could use the pie method to work it out however
