I have a Yamaha Neos 50cc AC, it's the 2 stroke model, it has a Technigas exhaust and I know it's not a good exhaust at all but I was wondering if the scooter would benefit more from a new exhaust or a variator kit?

A new exhausts probably wont do much. The technigas is pretty poor but not enough to warrant the price difference. The worst thing about technigas's is the build quality.

So a vote for variator kit from me.

Another vote for the variator, even though the Technigas is a poor exhaust there still won't be a huge difference between that and the new one you put on. I'd personally continue to swap out the standard parts and keep an eye out on eBay as 50 exhausts are going cheap as chips at the minute.

Looks like I'm getting variator kit when I can afford it then, gonna attempt to paint my crank case cover later on, also what are your thoughts on boost bottles? Do they actually do what they say, save fuel and increase performance or are they not worth having?
