Anyone know if a K157FMI OHC will fit in a bike that came with a 156FMI OHV engine? This is a genuine question!

Measure them up back 2 back, engine mount positions etc but i think it would work, you may need to use electrics to go with engine?

I was eyeballing them earlier. I think the 157 has a slightly different gearbox mount to the 156. If the 156 hadn't decided to eat first gear I wouldn't even be asking this question.
Maybe it's easier to just buy a new/replacement 156 rather than faff around. :(

Turns out that finding a 156FMI-5 is more difficult than I thought it was. This isn't looking good. I now have a rolling frame with an MOT and nearly new tyres. Sweary sweary swearing.
