Engine Porting

    What does it mean to port an engine and what does it involve doing?

    You don't port a engine. You port a cylinder kit. It's where you take your bore and widen all the ports bassicly. Hard skill to learn to do. If you do it wrong you skrew your kit up lol.

    Haha. Can always pay to get it done. I did my own porting/flowing. But I wouldn't' do it again.

    i want my malossi mhr 70cc kit ported, roughly how much does it cost and also does it improve your performance by much?

    I'm not sure. I'm really not the one to ask. If I remember right, It would cost me £140 minimum and it's like 10-15% I think.... Seen Doppler kits with evo bhp ranges.....

    Depends on who you go to and how much you ask them to do? Generally on 50cc's it's cheaper and makes more sense just to buy a better kit.
