Has anyone replaced the mount rubbers that support the engine to the subframe
And if you did , did you put mounts back in or bearings
    Thanks

always use rubber/stock fitment.. pissing with heavyweight mounts supposedly improves handeling (ive found them stiffer an bumpier not so much "better") what does happen using solid mounts tho is not good.. the engine basicly snaps in half or the mount surround simply cracks in half.

best way is to heat the case surround and press them out, then with it hot try and get the rubber dohnut to collaps in itself and hold it tight with needle nose plires.. then slide into place and let it pop out, once you have a bit of soap on the centre shaft it should slide in, its a pain but when done right is pritty satisfying and wont move a bit. have fun btw.. i trey an do this job as little as possible

    Thanks
    I have got them out
I used the long bolt and a large washer on one end
    smaller on the other
Tightend the bolt so as to pull on the rubber and then heated the alloy around it and it came out
    Sort of like a puller
I was just thinking about putting bearings in there to make the suspension reaction smoother and more consistent
But it was only a thought
If you say its no good then i will not do it
I see the areox uses bearings in there but they have a different mounting system as well

The ones that came out have a metal sleeve around them so it not just rubber on the alloy case

aprilia sr 125's come standard with bearings instead of bushes but also have a different mounting system.

i replaced one of mine last week end.

bit of heat and a home made puller made from nut and a bolt and some washers and job was done :D
