ENGINE DIENG ON A40 THEN STARTINGG

    hiya on way back from that london meet tonyt on the a40 and my bike just died, pulled up and it started straight away, done the same thing a few times but onyl seems to do it on open long straight when im travelling a bit faster. any ideas what this could be ...

    I know i dont know alot but this is exact same symptoms my mates typhoon had and it turned out be his spark plug was fucked.

    if its cutting out at high revs it sounds like rings...but try spark plug first just incase

    check the float bowl.. sounds like its running out of fuel atn full throttle so check the bowl, check your fuel tap (replace)

    it cant be the rings or anything i dont think, i mean it will start up straight away and have full power only does it when going faster on straight long roads, im running a br8 in there when it should be a br9 could this be a problem ?

    not a major problem, just running it a bit hot, change the sparky and have a peek at the carb pal ;)

    happen to me once and it was my oil pipe out.

    is it the higher the number the hotter the plug not to sure, change it anyway to the correct one

    im not too sure mate...
    i cant think it would be anything else because it only does it when its proper warmed up
    you can feel it when it gets hot its loses its grunt like..
    must be the sparky
